What dates are you open? We are a seasonal campground. Our 2025 season is April 18 - October 26.
How do I book a site? It’s easy. If you’re old school, give us a call at 260-665-9843. And if you like to handle things yourself, you can BOOK ONLINE.
What are the campground rules? Check it out! CAMPGROUND RULES
What if I have to cancel? Well, that would suck! We hate to miss meeting you and you should never have to miss your vacation. But, if you have to, you can read our full REFUND POLICY here.
What are the check in and check out times? For RV sites, check out by 12 pm (noon) and check in is 1 pm. For cabins, check out by 11am and check in is 3pm.
Can I check in early or stay later? Yes! Why wouldn’t you want to stay longer. It's based on availability and there’s a small fee but it’s worth it! Text or give us a call to set it up. 260-665-9843
Can I check in after hours? Of course, as long as it’s before dark. We know that your travel plans don’t revolve around our office hours. If you can’t make it by 6 pm, just send us a quick email or text/call us at 260-665-9843. We will have a packet at the front office all ready for you. Just a reminder, no check ins after dark.
How do I book a group? Call us! Our online booking engine doesn’t offer that option yet so we’ll be glad to set it up over the phone. 260-665-9843
Do you have monthly or seasonal camping? We do. We have an entire section in our campground just for long term campers. There is a limited number of sites and they go quick so if you're interested, CONTACT US to get more information or CLICK HERE to see what sites are currently available.
Can I bring my pets? We love your furry friends, so absolutely. 2 pets are included in the camping fee and there’s a small fee for any additional. Before you book, check out our complete PET POLICY for all the details.
I love it here! Can I extend my stay? We would love for you to stay a little longer. As long as your site is available, it’s as easy at 1, 2, or 3.
Do you have an age limit for RVs? No. But we do have a condition limit. Basically, if your RV is in good condition, you’re welcome in your 1977 GMC Eleganza (oh wait… that’s ours). When booking we ask the year of your RV just for reference. If it’s older, we may ask for pictures to verify the condition.
Can I keep my boat/trailer at my site? We don’t allow boats, trailer, etc at the site but we will provide a place to registered guests for you to store them at no charge. Check with us when you arrive.
What kind of promotions/discounts do you offer? Our promotions and discounts change occasionally but we usually have some kind of deal. Check our PROMOTIONS PAGE for what we are currently offering.
Can I bring my golf cart or e-bike? Absolutely, as long as it's safe, in good condition, and you promise to follow the speed limit. We ask that golf carts be checked in at the office and proof of insurance provided when you arrive. We do have some rules… safety first. Before you book, check out our GOLF CART POLICY. Some people have asked to bring their side by side/UTV…. Unfortunately that’s not allowed.
When is your office open? CLICK HERE for our current office hours.
Do you have a store? I’m glad you asked. Yes, we do. We have the basic necessities and convenience items, a few items you might have forgotten, plus some unique and fun gifts and merchandise. And don’t forget the Happy Acres swag.
Do you have wifi? Well.... in most of the campground, yes. We currently have basic internet throughout most of the campground and we are still working on more options for the future.
Do you have a pool? Yes. And you can find our current pool hours on our AMENITIES page.
What activities do you have? Check it out! EVENTS & ACTIVITIES. We’re making a real effort in 2024 to give you relaxing and fun adventures at Happy Acres. Adult campers will be excited to see what’s in store. We’ve listened to our campers and planned some fun, unique, and interesting activities.
Why do you charge guest fees? It’s not a simple question to answer but in short, entertaining at the campground isn’t free. Extra people can add wear and tear on our systems & utilities, require added cleaning and supplies for bathrooms, create more maintenance on equipment, structures, and roads, etc. Not to mention the time required for staff to check in visitors and manage a busier campground…. which I think you’ll agree is important in order to keep you, your guest and the other campers safe. Want a more in-depth explanation? Check out our blog Why Do We Charge Guest Fees?
How close is the nearest grocery store? It doesn’t matter… we have what you need. Just kidding. There’s a few places including a Walmart and Meijer within a few miles. But really… check with us first.
Can I bring a generator? You absolutely can but please, nothing obnoxious and don’t use it during quiet hours.
Do you sell fire wood and ice? Yes. We have bags of ice and firewood available at the campstore during normal hours and at our self-pay station 24 hours a day.
Can you fill my propane tank? Yes. We have the ability to fill it by volume or weight.
Do you provide picnic tables and fire rings? You bet. Each site has both but please don’t move the fire rings.
Who do I call after the office is closed? We always have someone on call for camping emergencies. Calling the main phone number will allow you to leave a message but you can also text which is sometimes faster. Our emergency number is 260-665-9843x4. We will also have the contact info and site # for the camp host on duty posted at the office. For all other emergencies you know the drill… call 911.
Do you have winter camping? We don’t. Some people have asked if we make exceptions…. Unfortunately no.
